Cost-Effective Care

How to pay

We understand homecare can be challenging and stressful, but costs shouldn’t be one of them. After all, there’s enough decisions to make when it comes to caring for you or your loved one. At All Metro Health Care, our team of experts will design a customized, cost-effective care plan that can evolve over time as health needs may change. While we accept a variety of payment options, private pay and long-term care insurance provide several benefits for those seeking in-home care. These include:

  • Flexibility – private pay allows greater flexibility in selecting the types and duration of homecare services.
  • Peace of mind – long-term care insurance provides financial security knowing you or your loved one is covered and protected
  • Cost savings – while private pay and insurance premiums can be higher upfront, it can save money in the long run compared to receiving care in nursing homes and assisted living facilities
  • Preservation of assets – long-term care insurance covers healthcare costs to prevent individuals from using a savings account or sell of assets to pay for healthcare

Additional payment options include:

Medicaid Managed Care or Medicaid Managed Long Term Care

States offer a range of Medicaid home care service programs, each oriented toward slightly different needs and sometimes to different populations. Often, benefits may only be accessed through Medicaid Managed Care Plans and Medicaid Long Term Care Plans. All Metro works closely with almost all Managed Care Plans in our markets.

Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) Medicaid Waiver

This Medicaid program is available to certain New York residents. Through this program, Medicaid funding provides additional support and services to seniors and individuals with disabilities who choose to remain in or return to their community from a care facility.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Medicaid Waiver Program

This Medicaid program is available to certain New York residents who have suffered a traumatic brain injury (including acquired brain injuries) and choose to live at home, rather than in a nursing care facility.

Care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

There are many Medicaid programs designed to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive in the community. All Metro participates with several of them as part of our commitment to ensure our members receive the high-quality services necessary to live a full and healthy life.

Additional Programs

There are several other programs available to our members to help pay for their services. These include programs offered by the Veterans Administration and the Area Office on Aging in your county, Workers Compensation insurance, automobile insurance, and many others. Our team will help you or your loved one find the best financial solution.
