Caregivers and Specialists

Our team

All Metro teammates have been carefully screened to ensure they meet our high standards for care delivery. In addition, each teammate is overseen by a Registered Nurse (RN) who will visit each member’s home on a regular basis to ensure their health and safety, and make certain that the member’s needs are being met.

Our team includes:

Home Health Aides or Personal Care Aides – assistants with some medical training
Companions/Homemakers – non-medical assistants
Skilled nurses – Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses
Rehabilitation Professionals – Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists

Additional options

For members who prefer to hire their own caregiver, we can assist with that as well. Under the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), New Yorkers may have the option to recruit, hire, train, and supervise individuals to provide them with personal assistance services. All Metro is an authorized Fiscal Intermediary for this program and we provide this service through most Medicaid Managed Care plans.
